Biography

Seemita Pal is a Research Engineer in the Cybersecurity team of the Electricity Infrastructure group at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. She completed her Ph.D. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2016 and 2013 respectively. She is currently the Vice Chair of the IEEE Women in Engineering affinity group of Richland Section. She is also one of PNNL’s STEM Ambassador Fellows, and frequently communicates her work to students and general audiences. She serves as regular reviewer for IEEE Power and Energy Society Transactions and Journals, IEEE Transactions on Control of Network Systems, and for multiple conferences. During the summer of 2013, she interned in the Market Structures Department of the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) in Rensselaer, NY. Prior to her graduate studies, she worked as Engineer in the Project Engineering Division of Linde India.
